You called him 'feminine and gender dysphoric' because he was carrying a bunch of flowers, well it was his father's death anniversary and he was going to place those flowers at his grave. You called her a 'behenji'(label in Hindi for an old fashioned woman which carries a negative connotation) because she wears only sarees whereas she is the most modern woman one would have ever come across, she is short in height and has a shrill voice and you met her just once and you immediately called her immature whereas she is the most mature person one would have ever come across and guess what ?For all you know these people may be crying themselves to sleep for days together ,may not be eating for days together and they may even be having thoughts of killing themselves because they feel like they are being charged with something that they are not guilty of.
We ought to realise is that there isn't anything wrong with a man buying flowers or even being feminine for that matter ,there is nothing wrong with young and modern women wearing sarees on a daily basis ,there's nothing wrong with being short or having a shrill voice .There's nothing wrong with being what you are and doing what you want.
The fatal mistake which is being committed here is the labels which are being attached to people ,in other words accusations which are being hurled at 'people' for being 'people'.We must acknowledge the fact that each person is different from one another ,and someone being different from you isn't a crime ,but hurting someone because he/she falls outside your definition of a person is indeed is a crime .You want to know why ?
Research has proven that social labeling is a major cause of suicide,in other words 'indirect murder' ,you label a person as let's say 'timid' and go around publicising the label just because he was startled when a lizard fell on his head, which is a biological reaction whereas he may have accomplished tasks that may have rendered him 'bold'.He goes into an emotional identity crisis because his 'boldness' forms an integral part of his identity and he begins to believe that he is 'timid' and starts acting 'timid' ,gets called the same by all his mates and eventually he is emotionally hurt such an extent that he kills himself .He hasn't committed suicide ,he has been murdered and MURDER IS A CRIME and labeling indirectly leads to murder hence LABELLING IS A CRIME.
Hence, if you are a victim of it don't get hurt and remember that you aren't the one who should feel guilty for being the way you are, the person who is doing it to you is the one who should be feeling guilty as he/she is committing a crime by making you feel like you have committed a crime .
